Lower KS2 Football Match

24 March 2025 (by Carol Sage (Carol))

Lower KS2 had a football match against Greenfields Primary school on Tuesday 18th March

On Tuesday, our year 3 and 4 children represented the school in one of their football league matches. I am delighted to be able to tell you we won the match, against Greenfields, with the final score being 10 goals to 1. The children played a fantastic game, working together as a team. They dominated the match from the start and were winning 3 - 0 after only 5 minutes. Freddie and Toby both scored hat tricks, Harper scored two goals and Felicity one, while Tate scored the goal of the match with a strike from outside the box, into the top corner. Thomas was outstanding in goal, only letting in one. The team all played fantastically well, contributing to the result and continuing their unbeaten run. Well done to the whole team: Thomas Holder, Tate Smith, Jude Liston, Joel Cripps, Toby Hayter, Felicity Friday, Freddie Benton and Harper Horton. Thank you to Mr Horton who referred the match for us once again (despite me forgetting to let him know!).
